I didn't follow the playbook.
I wrote my own.

I’m Emily van Eyssen. Born in South Africa, now based in Rye, East Sussex, I’ve spent over 25 years building businesses that everyone said couldn’t work.

I founded Remote Recruitment because I believed exceptional talent shouldn’t be limited by geography. Today, we connect UK businesses with brilliant South African professionals, cutting costs by up to 40% while building teams that genuinely outperform.

Along the way, I’ve built and scaled businesses across industries, from property to tech platforms. Each one taught me the same lesson: the right people change everything.

I believe in building generationally. Everything I create is designed to outlast me, to create opportunities that ripple through families and communities.
